Been a bit lazy lately in doing any new posts. I have worked a lot and been a little bit stressed. Too much to do really and too little time to do it in.

Have enjoyed a very chilled day, lounging around and reading a book. Very unusual for me these days. It seems that I am just running around like mad to get things done and there is never room for any down time. So today has been a real gift to myself. So it has been me, a big duvet, the sofa and a good book watching the wind blow things past my window. Absolute heaven for me. Think I will head to bed early now and get a good nights sleep while I am so relaxed.

This is the weather I have been waiting for. The almost too hot with not much of a breeze. Fantastic. During the daily walk through the park I saw people lounging around in their swim wear - brave!

I have been getting on with some work in the garden this evening and discovered that the first strawberries were ripe... so sweet and juicy and still warm from spending the day in the sunshine. I can not wait until there will be more!

I have managed to wear my flip flops and sunglasses today! Seems that the weather forecast was right for today at least... it has changed again and now they are predicting rain, rain, rain for at least the next 5 days. What happened to no rain before Sunday? It seems I am just asking too much.

I spoke to someone in Scandinavia today who said it was so hot and dry they were having problems with forest fires. Not that I want it to be that dry here but I am willing to swap some of their heat and sunshine for some of our rain. A couple of days worth at least! It would help all of us.

It seems like we have been hit by continous rain even though the forecast every day for the following few days is sunshine? And then to top it off the rest of Europe have very warm and sunny weather... not a rain drop in sight! I spend my days speaking to lots of people across Europe for the research I am doing and they all keep telling me how warm it is! I want to wear my sunglasses and flip flops again!

PS. I just looked at the weather forecast on the BBC website and it says sun tomorrow and all the way until Sunday. I bet you it is still raining tomorrow.
