Feeling very lazy today but have lots to do. Not sure how to find the motivation though... There is work to be done - I have several deadlines this coming week and I could ease the work load by spending the day by actually doing some work. There is also gardening to be done... The sun was out earlier but I have lounged around indoors and now the sky is going grey.
It is not that I do not enjoy what I do for work or pottering about in the garden, it is just difficult to find the motivation to start doing it. Once I get started in the garden or with my work, I really get in to it and enjoy it.
Maybe I should just continue to be lazy today or just go out and get stuck into the garden. At least that way I will feel a sense of accomplishment by the end of the day and not feeling guilty when kicking off my shoes and curling up on the sofa in front of the TV tonight.

Someone else's blind date
@ 2008-02-16 – 17:07:38
Last night I almost ended up on someone else's blind date... I was sitting in a bar waiting for a friend who was running a bit late. Enjoying a glass of wine and checking my mobile for the time, in walks this good-looking guy - tall with dark hair and incredible eyes - he catches my eye, smiles and starts walking directly towards me. Immediately I feel electric shockwaves running through my body, like I have just been hit by lightning. The one or two seconds that it took him to walk over to me felt like an eternity and I was thinking 'Wow, this is just like in the movies... a random meeting (in slow motion, of course), love at first sight, (perhaps a few complications along the way to add a little suspension) and then happily ever after!'
Well, Mr Happily Ever After comes over and asks me if I am Susan's friend Lisa. For a fraction of a second I just wanted to say that I was Lisa, and yes, this was our date... but of course I did not say that... I just said no and smiled at him - secretely hoping that he would just forget about Lisa and ask if he could join me for a drink or two or three... Instead he looked a bit embarrassed (and very cute) and swiftly turned around and walked off to find his real blind date.
Did he find her? I don't know, he probably did. Now I am playing with the thought of having had the guts to pretend to be Lisa - at least for a few minutes... Ok, I know it would have been terribly wrong to have pretended to be Lisa, and it is not my style to hijack someone else's blind date. And it would have been tricky not knowing what he already knew about Lisa and talking about our 'friend Susan'. But I don't think it is ever wrong to daydream a little about what could have happened... hopefully for Lisa and this guy, happily ever after have already started. If not, then meet me at the same place at the same time next Friday. I will be at the same table waiting...

Buskear
@ 2008-02-13 – 16:59:25
Who is the busking king or queen of London? There is an online voting competition going on at the moment. Go to http://www.buskear.com/VotingCompetition.aspx and vote for your favourite. The two buskers with the most votes will go to the final round next week. I just voted for Sarah Minns, she has an amazing voice and the first time I have heard of anyone singing opera whilst busking on the underground. You normally only ever hear people singing opera in the Covent Garden piazza.

First blog post
@ 2008-02-09 – 23:20:10
My name is Kaitlin and I am fairly new to blogging, but hey with over 80 million bloggers worldwide, why should I not try to do it to. What do I blog about? Not sure, I guess I have to find myself in this wide world of blogs.
It is with great sadness that I learn about a major fire tonight in Camden Market, one of my favourite places in London, just to go and breathe in the atmosphere and find some interesting items of clothing, furniture, jewellery, handbags. Who has not spent a lazy Saturday afternoon with someone special, hanging out in one of the bars or pubs nearby, watching people go by.
